At the height of the 2008 financial crisis, Varun helped build a technology distribution business from scratch, with no revenue, no systems and no big brands, up against a public company that had deeper pockets and every advantage. Over twelve years that business grew locally and and expanded across APAC, all privately owned out of New Zealand.
Varun's responsibility was to sell then lead the sales effort, build the team, build the sales divisions and put in the systems and processes so the team could sell on value and win. In 2021 he left to start Synergy Consulting and now works alongside other companies that want to grow, bringing the practical, no-fluff sales behaviours he knows work because he has used them himself. You get someone who will stand shoulder to shoulder with your sales efforts, not a lecturer who has never made a cold call.
